Producing new and rarely seen plays, the BTC aims for unpretentious, highly theatrical productions. We’re also home to the hit run of The SantaLand Diaries, a signature piece for the Bug that continues to draw maximum capacity crowds and earned a Denver Post 2002 Ovation award nomination, and a “Best Actor in a Comedy” 2002 Ovation Award for star Gary Culig. Additionally, Ed McBride received a “Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy” 2002 Ovation Award for his role in the BTC production A Devil Inside.

The annual New Playwrights Festival fosters the development of new voices by
giving staged readings of exemplary new works directed by some of the top
names in the region.
